Saturday 30th October saw the delayed club ladies singles championship for 2022

There were eight entrants who were split into two groups of four and who played round robin matches to establish the finalists

Vicky Hudson and Kathryn Barnett both won their groups with 100% records and went head to head in the final with Vicky running out the winner 4-3 4-2 

Vicky was presented with the silver cup first played for in 1936 by Helen Masson-Jones of sponsors HMJ Solutions and both finalists received Rosebank Sports vouchers thank’s to HMJ Solutions 

The runners up in each group progressed to the plate final and the determination of the finalists was a close run affair with each of the other players winning one match each and the identity of those progressing going down to set and game count back 

Lydia Bass and Anne Moore were the two plate finalists with Lydia victorious in straight sets - both took home vouchers for use at Capital Walk the joint sponsors of the championships

Organiser Andrew Giltrap thanked the sponsors and also all of the players for playing the event with good spirit and in a friendly manner
