A very successful quiz night was held on Friday with 15 teams participating.  The Clubhouse was packed.
 
There was a lot of friendly rivalry and a fair amount of barracking, particularly of the Quizmaster.
 
At half time there was the most delicious pie and peas served, courtesy of Beech Tree Catering.  One very experienced cook said it was the best pie she had ever tasted!
 
The victors on the night were a team called ‘Mrs Slocombe’s Pussy’ with an impressive 112 points out of 133, closely followed by the ‘The Buscemi’s’.
 
The prizes for the recent raffle were drawn with the first prize of free membership going to Lynn Boyes,  a free racket restring and grip going to Margaret Wilshaw and Venus Moses receiving a free coaching session - the last two prizes were very kindly donated by Craig Leese of Smash Tennis.
 
Thanks goes to the Quizmaster - Eileen Grigg, Barman - Ray Masson, Catering Dept - Lindsay Newton and Kerry Hall, along with several other elves who helped with serving.
 
It was a great evening which raised valuable funds for the club.
