We are delighted to let you all know about a very special event that we are hosting at the club on Sunday 26th June. Coinciding with the start of the Wimbledon fortnight, we will be running "Pro-Day". This is a fun-filled day of professional tennis coaching, exhibition matches, new membership open day, and general family fun, running from approximately 10am till 4pm with;
Professional coaching for kids, juniors, and adults provided by ex-pro and ex-David cup players (Danny Sapsford finished his career against Pete Sampras in the 3rd round of Wimbledon in 1999)
An exciting exhibition match between the ex-pro's and our SMASH tennis coach Craig, playing with one of the elite players
Two doubles tie breaks between the ex-pro's and the 4 lucky raffle ticket winners (ex-pro plus member versus ex-pro plus member)
The chance to practice for free with a ball machine and a servicing speed trap
Social tennis play for potential new members
BBQ and cakes
Inside bar and "pop-up" outside bar, plus tea and coffees
Live music and DJ
All proceeds from the day will go to the club to help subsidise membership fees, fund the various infrastructure projects we have planned (new Tiger Turf on courts 5 & 6 for example), and promote tennis in the local community.

A key part of the event will be the professional coaching offered by the ex-pro's. There are only a small number of places available for these coaching sessions so please do not delay and get your places secured right now before all tickets are sold out. Once they are gone they are gone we will not be able to offer any further places.
These are fun-packed sessions led by two ex-professional tennis players. A unique one-off opportunity to be on the court with Danny Sapsford (ex-Davis cup team player).
Mini Tennis for 6 to 11 year olds
£5 only, for 45 minutes of coaching from 10am till 10.45am

Junior Tennis for 11 to 17 year olds

Adult Coaching for all levels from Beginner to Elite team tennis players
£10 only, for 60 minutes of coaching at either 11.30am till 12.30pm, or from 12.30pm to 1.30pm

Volunteers and Helpers Needed
This is your event for your club, but to make sure that the day is a success we will need lots of volunteers and helpers. There are many different things that we will need help with including;
Running the BBQ, helping with tea's and coffees, cakes sales and the inside bar as well as a "pop up" outside bar
Ball boys/girls and a tennis umpire for the exhibition matches and tie breaks
Helping with the social play for new members looking at the club
Running the ball machine and serving speed traps
Raffle ticket sales for 1 of 4 chances to play in a tie break with one of the ex-pro by your side
DJ services
Plus anything else we have yet to work out!
