Team Tennis Newsletter - Week 13

Tuesday 6th July saw Ladies A team of Sue Hayes-Smith/Jeannette Walker and Emily Walker/Ruth barton retain their division one status with a comfortable home victory over Alsager A

The other three ladies teams are all set for promotion.Ladies B beat Hartford C away from home whilst Ladies C team of Louise Davies/Louise Fenn and Di Dyson/Rachael Barlow won 6.5-1.5 at neighbouring Holmes Chapel C

Ladies D are unbeaten this season and have already won the division four title but had an easy week when their opponents Goostrey B failed to show.

Mens A team of Matt Parker/Mark Smith and Ben Waddacor/Jordan Young beat Cuddington A 7-1 and later in the week were confirmed as champions when Mens B beat Hartford A - the only team who could catch them 6-2

Mens C easily beat bottom placed Bentley Motors A in division two whilst a tight division three will go to the wire with a number of teams in with a chance of promotion and Mens E team of Dave Lonsdale/Mark Wakefield and Stuart Warburton/Julian Keen beating Nantwich C 5-3

Mens F team lost at home to Acton Bridge in division four

Thursday 8th saw Mens D travel to Wistaston A and with two regular players unavailable Pete Wardlaw and Zac Shaikh joined Andrew Giltrap and Adam Goodall to record a 6-2 victory

Mens G were also in Crewe and drew 4-4 at Hightown C

In the City and Suburban League Mens A baet one of their title rivals Florence A 2.5-1.5 away to maintain their challenge at the top of the league
